Jamie Foxx has always kept his love life private and has never been married. He has two daughters, Corinne and Anelise, from previous relationships.
The 56-year-old actor is reportedly in a relationship with Alyce Huckstepp, who is said to be 30 years old. Despite their significant age difference, their romance seems to be going well.
While the Back in Action star has kept his love life private, he has spoken more candidly about marriage, more specifically why he doesn't intend to actually walk down the aisle himself.
In his 2021 memoir Act Like You Got Some Sense, the star confessed that he didn't believe himself to be the "marrying type," adding: "I've just never been convinced that marriage was a good idea for me.
"I've had friends that have great marriages, others not so much. And it never seemed like marriage was necessary to raise my children in a safe and loving atmosphere."
In an interview with Men's Health, he added: "Some people can want to be married their whole lives, and then some people cannot want to be. I just never thought marriage was for me. I used to tell some of my friends, 'You belong to the universe.'"
"Weirdly, though, if I'm in a relationship that I really dig . . . I'm good."
He also told E! News that he believes his relationships with his daughters, Corrine Foxx, 27, and Annalise Bishop, 12, are stronger because he chose not to marry.
Pointing to some of his friends' failed marriages as an example, he shared, "Growing up, Corrine was like, 'Well people are married, and that's what they have, my friends. But then a lot of those marriages ended up not doing well as the kids got older.'"
"Unfortunately, we saw the kids get fractured from their families," he continued. "Us, we actually came together more, so I don't know what that is, I just know that it is different but it's a whole lot of love."
The 53-year-old "Soul" star added, "The pressure of me being married, I don't think we've even had conversations about it. They just love their daddy, and I just keep moving."
