Selena Gomez to Host ‘SNL’ for the First Time with Musical Guest Post Malone

Selena Gomez is making her Saturday Night Live debut on May 14th, where she’ll be joined by musical guest Post Malone.

NBC announced Friday that Gomez, who previously served as musical guest in 2016, will return to host the penultimate Season 47 episode.

Gomez shared the announcement on her Instagram, mentioning how excited she was to obtain such a significant achievement. “Mom…I think I’ve made it. so grateful and so excited. See you May 14!!!,” she captioned it.

Gomez’s mother, Mandy Teefey, replied via Instagram with an encouraging message: “You are going to own this!!! You have beyond made it, love!! XO.”

The Grammy-nominated singer’s pal Camila Cabello added, “YESSSS BITCH.”

Gomez is currently promoting the second season of Hulu’s delightful Only Murders in the Building, which bagged two nominations at this year’s Golden Globes for Gomez’s co-stars, Steve Martin and Martin Short. If we’re lucky, we can expect cameos from the two SNL legends who have previously hosted 13 and three times, respectively, and have been known to make the occasional cameo.

The May 14 Saturday Night Live episode airs at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
