Elon Musk isn’t a fan of Amazon Studios’ new Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power show, according to his latest tweets.

In a remark which seems to play into his rivalry with Amazon’s billionaire founder Jeff Bezos, the 51-year-old Tesla CEO critiqued the series in a Twitter post on Monday (5 September), specifically its male characters, calling them ‘cowards’

“Tolkien is turning in his grave,” Musk wrote. “Almost every male character so far is a coward, a jerk, or both. Only Galadriel is brave, smart, and nice.”

Galadriel is a major female character on the show. Played by Morfydd Clark, the character is one of the greatest elves in Tolkien’s fictional Middle-earth realm.

Amazon has invested $1 billion in “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” series inspired by the world of J.R.R. Tolkien, and former company executives told Insider the company will use the show to determine if Amazon Studios is a worthwhile venture for the company.

Amazon CEO and founder Jeff Bezos was personally involved in bringing the show to the corporation, according to Variety.
