After starring together in films like Ocean’s Eleven and Money Monster, George Clooney and Julia Roberts are reuniting for the upcoming new rom-com Ticket to Paradise. The pair play bitterly divorced exes who team up to stop their daughter (Booksmart’s Kaitlyn Dever) from going through with her destination wedding in Bali.

In an interview with The New York Times, the two actors revealed it took “like, six months” to finish a single kiss between their characters.

‘We have a friendship that people are aware of, and we’re going into it as this divorced couple. Half of America probably thinks we are divorced, so we have that going for us,’ Robert said.

“Yeah. I told my wife, ‘It took 80 takes,'” Clooney told The New York Times. “She was like, ‘What the hell?'”

“It took 79 takes of us laughing and then the one take of us kissing,” Roberts told the publication.

“Well, we had to get it right,” George explained.

Roberts also told the outlet how Clooney and his family saved her from “complete loneliness” while filming the movie in Australia. For the duration of the shoot, she stayed in a home by herself while Clooney, his wife Amal, and their kids rented a house nearby.

“The Clooneys saved me from complete loneliness and despair. We were in a bubble, and it’s the longest I’ve ever been away from my family. I don’t think I’ve spent that much time by myself since I was 25,” Roberts explained.

“Ticket to Paradise” debuts in theaters Oct. 21.
